Canadian Women Win Three Medals at World Wrestling Competition 

Justina Di Stasio of Burnaby, B.C., won a gold medal in competition against Mongolia’s Nasanburmaa Ochirbat. Scoring two early takedowns quickly moved her in front with a score of 4-0. Di Stasio is currently on the Canadian National Team and is a 2020 Olympic hopeful at 75 kilograms. Erica Wiebe of Stittsville, Ontario, won against Epp Mae of Estonia to claim the bronze in the 76-kilogram event. She was the 2016 Olympic champion. Earning a silver, Danielle Lappage of Olds, Alberta, had a controversial 6-5 loss against Petra Olli of Finland. All three women represented Canada well.
